I’ve had many different types of extensions throughout the years. My hair is fine and will only grow to medium length. When I found Heidi, I was elated! The quality of the hair she uses and her installation are hands down THE BEST! Other extensions, along with the way they were applied, damaged my hair and would only allow me to wear them temporarily. With Heidi, my hair integrity is maintained and I can use the same batch of hair for 9-12 months. Color and installation is so perfect that no one knows I have extensions unless I tell them. Compliments on my hair are frequent because of Heidi’s excellent work!

I love my extensions. I’ve been getting them with Heidi for over 15 years. I’ve used them for length, volume, and to change up my color. My favorite part about extensions is how long I can go without washing my hair. My hair is healthier with extensions since instead of using bleach to go blonder I can just use extensions to add highlights. It helps not having to style my hair every day so I don’t have to put as much heat on my hair. I highly recommend extensions by Heidi to anyone who wants to change up their style.

It has taken me longer than most to write this because thats just how much it has changed my life. I was diagnosed in my 20s with a condition that made my hair fall out. I would wear hair pieces that hurt and certainly didnt look great or match my personality. Then I found Heidi. I was so worried I didn’t have enough hair to even get them. We talked and finally I made the appointment and thats been a couple years ago now. Her work is outstanding but the person she is , is more valuable. There was no judgment or shame and she made me so comfortable. I love my hair and it has done so much for my confidence as a woman. It has given me freedom to be me. I could never truly put into words what she has done for me and how each and every time I walk out of her salon I feel amazing. Why I chose extensions and how they changed my life…a true story.
I have always been addicted to beautiful hair and yet, it was always out of reach for me. I have had every color of hair you can imagine and bleached, abused and mistreated my hair. When a new product came out that promised longer, fuller, more amazing hair, I bought it. I have taken every vitamin and natural potion imaginable in the hopes of waking up in the morning with a head full of gorgeous hair. None of these things mattered and my hair remained thin and dull with no promise of ever being anything more…that is until my hair goddess Heidi introduced me to DreamCatchers hair extensions and my life and hair were forever changed.
I honestly thought all the promises they give you were fake. There was no way in h-e-double hockey sticks that I could have beautiful, shiny, soft, full of volume hair that could be colored, curled, straightened, braided, and styled any way and in any color I could ever want. If I did have the hair of my dreams, it would surely fall out or have some crazy maintenance ritual that I would get tired of and the dream would fizzle like the ends of my hair after a bad bleach job.
I remember the day I was transformed from my ordinary hair self to the most amazing hair version of myself that could ever be-it was literally life changing. As a female, we have so many expectations of ourselves to live up to and we are so terribly hard on ourselves based on what we think others want us to be. Well my time of other people’s hair envy ended the second I saw my beautiful head of hair that literally looked like it belonged to me. I do not ever worry about having a bad hair day. I am absolutely not even exaggerating either. Some days I wake up, wash my hair, brush it and walk out the door. No styling, no fretting, no sadness, nothing. I have had extensions for over 7 years now, in every color you can think of, and people still tell me on a weekly basis how awesome/perfect/enviable/gorgeous my hair is. Usually it’s a beautiful girl with ordinary hair that takes the time out of her day to tell me how they wish they could have hair as gorgeous as mine. The last couple of years have been quite challenging on my hair. I have battled depression after my dad became very sick and ultimately passed away, I am 39 and I am premenopausal due to a surgery I had years ago, I have caught Covid three times and with all of this I was experiencing tremendous hair loss. Like most women my hair is very important to me. It makes a huge impact on my self confidence. My hair was breaking off in many different areas and I had gotten to the point I was embarrassed to go out and be seen. I had looked up many options from vitamins and supplements, to shampoos and hair treatments and then I came across hair extensions. I knew I didn’t want halo extensions like some had suggested because they may be great for some but for me it felt too much like a wig. I didn’t like most of the options of extensions because I felt as if they didn’t look real or fit me and I was concerned about them damaging my hair even more. I called Heidi and made an appointment. She suggested the bead extensions and explained it wouldn’t damage my hair and would blend with my hair great. I went for it and I’m not sure I’ll ever take them out even after mine continues to grow back out. My hair is thicker, healthier, grows faster with them in, and with me having oily hair I can actually skip two or three days without washing it which is also good for my hair and it not look bad. Extensions can be an investment but it is one that absolutely changed my life by making me feel confident and look like myself again. I am so thankful and couldn’t be happier with them!
